An award-winning, Magnet Designated Medical Center in Southern California is seeking a Clinical Nutrition Educator to join their team!
This rare and exciting opportunity is with a Level I Trauma Center in sunny Southern California! This 360+ patient bed facility is all about providing top-notch care, and we're searching for someone who's ready to bring their passion and expertise to the table.
In this role, the Clinical Nutrition Educator will use their advanced clinical skills to lead, plan, and deliver educational programs that empower both new and existing staff. From guiding fresh dietitian hires through their orientation to enhancing the skills of seasoned team members, this role is all about fostering growth and excellence in clinical nutrition care. You'll be a go-to resource and subject matter expert, collaborating with leadership to identify staff learning needs and make sure everyone's on top of their game in providing the best care possible especially as it pertains to the NICU.
The Clinical Nutrition Educator will also audit dietitians' notes in the electronic medical record (EMR) and provide constructive coaching when needed, ensuring that high standards are always met. You'll be hands-on, inspiring teamwork, driving best practices, and making a real difference in the way care is delivered across the hospital, clinics, and especially NICU.
What they're looking for? Someone with a Master's Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics (or related field) and / or a Bachelor's. You should also have a good understanding of clinical nutrition, medical nutrition therapy, and be familiar with various regulatory requirements (think TJC, Title 22, CMS, etc.). Knowledge of EMR systems and proficiency with tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is key!
This advanced medical center is seeking a Clinical Nutrition Educator that possesses certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration and have a Board Specialist Certification like CDE, CNSC, CSR, CSO, CSG, CSOWM, or RDN-AP.
